Aztecs Tied for Ninth Through Two Rounds in Denver

DENVER, Colo. – The Aztec women's golf team is tied for ninth after two rounds at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate. SDSU improved their team score by four strokes Saturday, shooting a 292 (+4) in their second 18.
 
Bernce Olivarez Ilas once again led the Aztecs, carding an even par 72 with a team-high four birdies. She sits in eighth place after two rounds
 
April Ranches is second among Aztecs with a 148 after shooting a 75 Saturday. She was one-over par through 17 holes but then double bogeyed 18.
 
Anika Sato shot a 73 after collecting 13 pars to go with two birdies and three bogeys.
 
Sammy Lee had a huge bounce back round Sunday and finished with an even par. She was two-over through three holes and then had three birdies, 11 pars and one bogey over the final 15 holes.
 
Anna Lina Otten shot a 78 Saturday.
 
Vanderbilt leads the team competition with a comfortable 15 stroke lead over New Mexico, who has the individual leader in Napat Lertsadwattana.
