COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo – 14 members of the Aztec track and field team earned All-Mountain West honors for their performances at the Indoor Championships, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.

San Diego native Sakura Roberson earned honors in two events over the weekend. She won gold in the 4x400m relay to earn all-conference honors with Jalyn Harris, Rhea Hoyte and Nyjari McNeil in 3:37.06, the second fastest time in school history. Individually, she finished in third place in the 400m dash to earn her second all-conference honor.

The Aztecs had three individuals earn gold medals and all-conference honors. Sara Absten won the pentathlon on Thursday evening, scoring 4,039 total points, good for third all-time in school history. Kaitlin Heri won the pole vault competition and Danae Dyer won the 60m hurdles to earn the Aztecs their second and third gold medals of the weekend on Saturday afternoon.

Jada Moore continued the trend in the 60m dash with a third-place finish to garner an all-conference nod. Lauren Harper then came in third in the 800m run and did so in school record fashion. The Weaverville, Calif. native ran 2:07.31 to shatter the school indoor record.

SDSU had two more athletes earn honors in the pole vault. Ashley Callahan placed second in the event and Corey Friedenbach came in a tie for third to earn spots on the all-conference team.

Rounding out the field events, Simone Johnson earned second at the conference meet in the triple jump. She jumped 42-03.25, a new PR, and the fourth farthest jump in school history. Dejanae Thompson also got on the podium in the long jump. The junior went 20-01.50 to place third in the competition. Jenna Fee Feyerabend also placed in the top three in the pentathlon, coming in third with 3,882 points, which puts her at No. 6 all-time in school history.
