IRVING, Texas -- San Diego State moved up two places to 19th in the fifth College Football Playoff Selection Committee Rankings, which were released Tuesday. It matches the Aztecs' highest CFP ranking of the season.
 
SDSU (11-1) debuted at No. 24 in the CFP rankings on Nov. 2, and was 22nd on Nov. 9, 19th on Nov. 16 and 21st on Nov. 23.
 
San Diego State, which has tied a program record with 11 victories, is ahead of No. 20 Clemson, No. 21 Houston, No. 22 Arkansas, No. 23 Kentucky, No. 24 Louisiana and No. 25 Texas A&M. Utah, which the Aztecs beat, 33-31, on Sept. 18 and has three losses on the season, is 17th, while North Carolina State is 18th.
 
SDSU, which is also ranked 19th in both the AP Top 25 poll and the AFCA Coaches Poll, plays host to Utah State in the MW Championship game at noon PT Saturday at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.
