IRVING, Texas -- Despite a 10th victory of the season on Friday night, San Diego State slipped two places to 21st in the fourth College Football Playoff Selection Committee Rankings, which were released Tuesday.

The Aztecs (10-1) debuted at No. 24 in the CFP rankings on Nov. 2, were 22nd on Nov. 19 and 19th last week.

SDSU, which is one of seven current programs with at least 10 wins in five or more seasons since 2015, is ahead of No. 22 UTSA, No. 23 Clemson, No. 24 Houston and No. 25 Arkansas. Utah, which San Diego State defeated, 33-31, on Sept. 18 and has three losses on the season, passed the Aztecs and are now ranked 19th, while North Carolina State is 20th.

SDSU, which is ranked 22nd in both the AP Top 25 poll and the AFCA Coaches Poll, plays host to Boise State at 9 a.m. PT Friday at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.
