FULLERTON, Calif. – The Aztec cross country team closed out their regular season at Cal State Fullerton's Titan Invitational 5k Friday evening. Racing with their non-travel XC squad and three track mid-distance runners, the Aztecs placed sixth out of 10 schools.
Sophomore Bailey Watts was the top Aztec finisher, crossing the finish line with a time of 19:10.5, good for 30th place. Right behind her was Paige Comiso with a time of 19:11.8 (32nd place).
The rest of the SDSU top five consisted of Natalie Regalado (44th, 19:47.1), Nyjari McNeil (53rd, 20:03.4) and Isabelle Davis (56th, 20:13.7). McNeil specializes in the 800m and was making her XC season debut.
Kennedy Jennings and Anaya Alexander, who also compete for the SDSU track and field team, ran in their first competition as an Aztec. Jennings finishing in 20:47.1 (68th place) and Alexander, who started her college career at Iowa, placed 90th with a time of 22:19.3
UP NEXT
The Aztecs will compete in the Mountain West Championships at the University of New Mexico next Friday morning.
