  • LAST TIME OUT (vs. Fresno State, April 17, 2021): On a day meant to celebrate the accomplishments of the 2021 senior class, the San Diego State lacrosse team showed their appreciation for their senior leaders with an 18-11 topping of Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) foe Fresno State at Aztec Lacrosse Field Saturday. Nine of the Aztecs' 18 goals were scored by members of the Aztec lacrosse program who were honored before Saturday's game. Graduate student Emily Resnick earned a hat trick, seniors Madison Nunziata and Lexi Tan each found the back of the net twice and captains senior Julia Sheehan and graduate student Taylor Sullivan both added a point to the board in one of their final games at Aztec Lacrosse Field.

  • LAST TIME OUT (at Arizona State, Feb. 21, 2021): The San Diego State lacrosse team fell to the Arizona State Sun Devils 23-10 in Tempe, Ariz. Sunday, Feb. 21. Redshirt-senior Lexi Tan led the Aztecs' scoring with two goals while six other Aztecs each added a score to the board including seniors Julia Sheehan, Taylor Sullivan, Bailey Brown, and Emily Resnick, junior Cailin Young, and sophomore Camdyn O'Donnell. Tan's stat line included two ground balls and three caused turnovers, a category in which she led the team throughout the game.

  • San Diego State redshirt senior Katy Sharretts and freshman Mia Kohn earned Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) weekly honors for their efforts in the last calendar week, the league announced Monday. Sharretts was named the league's defensive player of the week for the fourth time this season while Kohn collected her first-ever conference weekly honor, named the rookie of the week for the period ending April 18. On her senior day, Sharretts recorded an incredible performance, totaling 16 saves in 53:09 minutes of action in the net for a .667 save percentage. She also added two caused turnovers and four ground balls to her impressive stat line. Her 16 saves are a season-high for any MPSF netminder and tied the record for the second-most saves in a game by any Aztec goalkeeper. Nationally, Sharretts is third in the NCAA for saves this season with 136 collected in 2021. In the Aztecs' 18-11 win over the Fresno State Bulldogs, freshman Mia Kohn erupted to act as a huge part of the Scarlet and Black's offensive attack. The San Diego, Calif. Native scored her first two collegiate goals on free-position attempts, the only non-senior to score more than one goal for the Aztecs throughout the matchup. She became the first rookie since Cailtin Jones in 2019 to score more than a single goal in the Aztecs' senior-day game.

  • Sharretts continued her impressive senior season with a 16-save performance against the Bulldogs. She now is just one save away from 550 in her career, hoping to catch Hilary Harkins of UC Davis (2005-08, 583 saves) to finish her career with the fourth-most by any MPSF netminder. With two guaranteed games left in the 2021 season, Sharretts would need to average 16.5 saves a game to tie Harkins' record, or 17 per matchup to take sole possession of fourth place in the conference career saves standings.

  • If necessary, tiebreak procedures for MPSF rankings are:
    A) Head-to-head conference game results between tied teams.
    B) Goal Differential in MPSF games between all tied teams.
    C) Fewest Goals Allowed in MPSF games between all tied teams.
    D) RPI (Replacing the coin toss).
    E) Once a tie between teams is broken and the tiebreaker separates one team from the other tied teams, the remaining tied teams shall revert to the result of their head-to-head MPSF game to break the remaining tie.
