SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State women's tennis team travels to Fort Collins, Colo. this weekend for Mountain West Conference dual matches with Colorado State and Wyoming.  The match between the Rams and Aztecs is set for April 17, starting at 1 p.m. MT, while the Scarlet and Black's dual match with the Cowgirls is scheduled for April 18, with doubles action set to begin at 1 p.m. MT.

The Aztecs come off one of their most successful weekends of the 2021 season, sweeping both Air Force and the University of New Mexico by a score of 4-0 at the Aztec Tennis Center, April 10 and 11.

Senior Tamara Arnold continued her recent success in singles play as the senior won her No. 1 matches Friday over the Lobos and was up 6-1, 6-5 on April 11 before the match was clinched over the Falcons. In doubles play, Arnold and partner junior Alicia Melosch won the deciding match to take the doubles point over Air Force, 7-6 (10-8), while also topping the Lobos in doubles action on court one Sunday by a score of 6-1.

The Rams and Aztecs meet for the first time since the 2018-19 season where the Scarlet and Black topped Colorado State 4-2 on April 25, 2019, to advance to the MW semifinal match. The Aztecs are undefeated in their all-time series with the Rams, meeting 14 times dating back to the 1999 season.

SDSU is currently on a two-match skid in their all-time series with the Cowgirls, dropping a 4-1 decision in their last meeting in the 2018 MW Championship tournament. The Aztecs hold an 11-4 record when taking on Wyoming in dual match play.

A live stream will be available for both matches and will be linked on the women's tennis schedule page. Live stats will be available for the matchup with the Colorado State Rams here. Results of each match will be available at the conclusion of play at GoAztecs.com.
