SAN DIEGO –  The San Diego State women's tennis team travels to the campus of Boise State University in Boise, Idaho to take on Mountain West Conference foes Utah State and Boise State April 2 and 3. The neutral-site match between the Aggies and Aztecs is set for April 2 while the Scarlet and Black's dual match with the Broncos is scheduled for April 3.

In their most recent action, the Aztecs opened their conference slate 1-1. Fresno State topped the Aztecs 4-1 on Saturday, March 27 while the Scarlet and Black topped the Nevada Wolf Pack 4-2 on Sunday, March 28.

Both dual matches were played with five eligible student-athletes due to health and safety precautions. Playing with a shortened roster forced the Aztecs to begin both weekend duals down a doubles match (a forfeit on Court 3) and a singles point (a forfeit on Court 6).  Saturday saw the Aztecs secure the doubles point with wins from both the No.1 doubles duo of junior Regina Pitts and sophomore Cecile Morin and from the No. 2 doubles team of seniors Nnena Nadozie and Abbie Mulbarger. The Aztecs were not as successful in singles play, dropping matches on courts one, four, and five as the Wolf Pack ran away with the dual match victory, 4-1.

In their dual match with the Wolf Pack, the Aztecs failed to earn the doubles point but saw strong efforts from their No. 1-4 singles players. Pitts, Nadozie, Morin, and Mulbarger each saw success in singles play, leading to the Aztecs' first conference win of the season by a score of 4-2.

SDSU meets Boise State for the first time since March 25, 2014, where the Aztecs swept the Broncos 7-0 to open up conference competition for the 2013-14 season.  The Aztecs have only met the Aggies one other time since the 1999-2000 season, as the Aggies bested the Aztecs 4-2 in the first round of the 2017 Mountain West Championships.

Both conference matches at Appleton Tennis Center are set to begin at 10 a.m. MT. Live scoring will be available for both matches and linked on the women's tennis schedule page.
