FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – For the second consecutive day, San Diego State's junior diver Ximena Lechuga Gonzalez qualified for the NCAA Championships, at the NCAA Zone E Championships held at Wall Aquatic Center on the campus of Northern Arizona University. Today, the junior qualified for the national championships on the 3-meter springboard with a second-place finish at the zone championship event.  

Lechuga Gonzalez started off the day with a sixth-place finish in the preliminary round, scoring 298.30 points. She went on to add 310.85 points to her total for a second-place finish in the finals with 609.15 points. 

Also competing at the event was junior Lexi Letts, who placed 23rd in the qualifying round with a score of 229.20. Junior Gina Cazares did not compete today.  

San Diego State's divers have one more chance to qualify for NCAAs tomorrow, competing on the platform at 11:30 a.m./1:15 p.m. MT. Live results can be found here and a live stream can be found here
