SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State Swimming and Diving team opens their 2020-21 schedule with two events in seven days.   

The Aztecs kick off the season at the Fresno State Invite with the Fresno State Bulldogs and San José State Spartans Dec. 4-5 in Fresno, Calif.   

Friday's events begin at 11 a.m. with a morning session of competition, where the Scarlet and Black will swim the 200-medley relay, 500 freestyle, 200 individual medley (IM), and 50 free. After a short lunch break, the Aztecs hit the water again at 2 p.m. to compete in the 400-free relay, 400 IM, 200 free, 100 butterfly, 100 backstroke, and conclude with the day with the 100 breaststroke.    

Saturday's efforts begin at 10 a.m. with the 400-medley relay, 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 butterfly, and end with the 200 freestyle.   

After a weekend of competing with conference foes in Fresno, Calif., the Aztecs return home to the friendly confines of the Aztec Aquaplex, hosting the University of San Diego Toreros on Dec. 10 for a Pentathlon.   

Due to city, county, and state protocols, fans will not be allowed at Aztec home meets throughout the 2020-21 season.
