2017 - Women's Soccer Edges No. 22 Nebraska, 2-1, in Overtime
Facing its second nationally ranked road opponent in as many games away from the Sports Deck, the Aztecs weathered a blistering 15-to-6 shot onslaught from No. 22 Nebraska Cornhuskers, in a 2-1 overtime win. Trailing 1-0 coming out of halftime, Mia Root took a pass from Sarah Broacha and slotted it past the Cornhusker keeper for the equalizer in the 49th minute. The teams battled for the next 41 minutes, but would be forced to play extra time.It appeared the game would end in a draw, but with just 19 seconds left in the second overtime, the Aztecs would send the Lincoln, Neb., fans home unhappy when Nikolina Musto collected a ball, fed Aliyah Utush who then crossed it to Rachel Speros, who fired home the game winner for a 2-1 decision. 1986 - No. 7 Volleyball Goes 5-0 at Coors Collegiate Classic
Back in 1986, the San Diego State volleyball team posted a 5-0 record at their only home tournament of the season, the Coors Collegiate Classic, held Sept. 11-13 of that year inside Peterson Gym. The Aztecs, who entered the weekend with a No. 7 national ranking, quickly disposed of Providence in Thursday's opener, 3-0 (15-9, 15-2, 15-4), before upending 19th-ranked Western Michigan in four sets (15-11, 15-6, 9-15, 15-12). The following day, SDSU kept the momentum rolling with two sweeps, toppling former crosstown adversary U.S. International (15-9, 15-2, 16-14) before making quick work of San Francisco (15-6, 15-6, 15-5). That set the stage for a thrilling finale on Saturday, with the Aztecs outlasting No. 10 Brigham Young in five sets (14-16, 15-10, 13-15, 15-8, 16-14). With its performance, SDSU climbed to No. 4 in the AVCA national rankings the following week when it compiled another 5-0 record at the Fullerton Classic. In all, the Aztecs won their first 23 games of the season in 1986 before finishing with a 37-9 overall record and a No. 5 national ranking. Led by such players as All-American Kris Morton and All-Big West honoree Liane Sato, SDSU won its NCAA Northwest Regional opener over UC Santa Barbara at home, 3-1, before falling in three sets the following week at eventual national runner-up Pacific, which handed the Aztecs their first loss of the year early in October.

Sept. 12
1999 - Women's Soccer Blanks Cincinnati, 5-0
With the No. 17-ranked Aztecs up 1-0, following a goal less than one minute into the contest, sophomore midfielder Katie Qually (1998-99) struck for three unanswered tallies en route to a 5-0 Aztecs victory. It was the fourth hat trick in program history and the first since Lori LaCoursiere accomplished the feat in 1996. Qually, in her best game as an Aztec, scored at the 19:14 mark to make it 2-0 and then did it again just over four minutes later for a 3-0 advantage. Her final goal of the game came in the 64th minute and then she had the assist on the final strike of the game, in the 75th minute, to propel San Diego State the 5-0 result. Today, her three goals equal the second most in a game by an Aztec, and with her assist, her seven points are the second highest total for a player in a game for SDSU.
