SAN DIEGO – Although many student-athletes are scheduled to return to campus early next month and plans are well underway to a return to collegiate athletics this fall, San Diego State released its season-ticket refund policy for Aztec football, men's basketball, women's basketball, softball and baseball programs for the 2020-21 campaign. This policy would come into play if a sport season is canceled.

The complete refund policy can be found here.

Season-ticket holders for SDSU football, men's basketball, women's basketball, softball and baseball have three options should the 2020-21 season be canceled. The first option would be to donate the ticket portion to the SDSU athletic department. Fans can also roll over their 2020 payment to the next season. Finally, fans can request a full or partial refund (depending on how many games of the season were canceled), which will be processed via the original method of payment. If purchased with cash or check, a refund check will be mailed to the address on file and a campus representative may reach out to cash/check accounts for direct deposit information.

There are also three options for Aztec Club members, whose funds generated through the purchase of season tickets and Aztec Club membership directly support the student-athlete experience at San Diego State and the continued growth and success of Aztec Athletics. The first option is turning their 2020-21 priority seat related gift into impact by keeping it as a pure donation to the general 2020-21 fund drive. The second option is to roll over the 2020-21 seat related donation portion of the commitment to a 2021-22 seat donation. The final option would be to request a full or partial refund based on canceled events of the Aztec Club seat related gifts, which will be processed via the original method of payment, including through a credit card if processed through Ticketmaster or a refund check through the Research Foundation to the mailing address on file. Note that a reduction in priority points accrued will result if account donations are reduced.

The policies for partial and full season cancellations will be based on how many games of the season were canceled.

San Diego State enjoyed another successful season in 2019-20, posting the nation's best combined football and men's basketball record.

The football program produced a 10-3 record, including a 48-11 victory over Central Michigan in the New Mexico Bowl. The Aztecs were nationally-ranked for a pair of weeks and recorded their fourth double-digit win season in the last five years. The SDSU men's basketball team won its first 26 games of the 2019-20 season, ending with a 30-2 record and No. 6 national ranking in the final AP Poll. Last season, the San Diego State women's basketball team posted its highest win total since the 2012-13 campaign, while the softball team (17-11) and baseball program (10-6) were each off to impressive starts before the rest of the 2020 season was canceled.
