COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo – Nine members of the Aztec track and field team earned All-Mountain West honors for their performances at the Indoor Championships, the conference office announced Friday afternoon.

Sophomore Danae Dyer led the Aztecs after earning honors in three events while Jalyn Harris, Nyjari McNeil and Sakura Roberson all received recognition in two events

Danae earned the silver medal in the 200m dash and the 60m hurdles, posting top three times in school history in both events. She also was part of the gold medal winning 4x400m relay team. This is Dyer's first All-MW Indoor honor; she made the all-outdoor team last year in the 4x100m relay.

Joining Dyer on the 4x400m relay team was Jalyn Harris, Sakura Roberson and Nyjari McNeil. This group set a meet record and will be the first SDSU 4x4 team to compete in the NCAA Indoor Championships next week.

Roberson and McNeil were also honored for their performance in the 400m dash. Roberson finished second with a time of 53.81, the third-best time in school history and Harris finished third (54.33). Roberson now has three indoor honors and four overall (three for the 4x400m relay). This was McNeil's first and second indoor honor and fourth overall.

Smith won the pentathlon to earn her second consecutive indoor honor for the pentathlon, and third honor overall. She will join the 4x400m relay team at the NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend.

Kaitlin Heri won the gold medal in the pole vault to earn her second overall honor and first indoor. Molly Scharmann, a WSU transfer, and freshman Elizabeth Funk also medaled in the pole vault.

Freshman Neele Schuten earned the bronze medal in the 60m hurdles to earn her first all-MW honor.
