SAN DIEGO – After opening Golden Coast Conference (GCC) play with an 18-5 win over Concordia last weekend, the No. 16 San Diego State water polo team heads to northern California for a pair of league games this week. The team is at Santa Clara on Friday and No. 23 Pacific on Saturday.

• In its victories on the road against the Pacific, SDSU is averaging 11.0 goals and holding Pacific to 6.
• In its loss in the UOP pool, San Diego State allowed 13 goals and scored 10.
• UC Irvine will be the 13th team ranked in the top-25, that San Diego State will have faced in its first 18 games.
