SAN DIEGO – San Diego State head football coach Brady Hoke announced the signing Wednesday of six additional players to National Letters of Intent or Offers of Aid. Including the 12 that signed in the early signing period in December a total of 18 athletes will join the Aztecs for the 2020 season.
 
SDSU's signing class now includes nine on defense, eight on offense and one athlete. The 18-member class also features 11 from the state of California, three from Nevada, two from Arizona, and one apiece from Hawaii and Michigan. Additionally, 15 are high schoolers and three are college transfers.
 
The six new additions to the class today include three on offense - running back Jaylon Armstead (Los Angeles/Serra HS), tight end Aaron Greene (Prescott, Ariz./Prescott HS) and offensive lineman Sebastian Hernandez (Norwalk, Calif./La Mirada HS/Cerritos College) - and three on defense - linebacker Hunter Kaupiko (Las Vegas/Faith Lutheran HS), linebacker Darrell Masaniai (Honolulu/St. Louis School) and defensive back Isaiah McElvane (San Jose, Calif./Valley Christian HS).

The Aztecs finished 2019 with a 10-3 record for their fourth double-digit win season over the last five years. SDSU is one of 10 FBS teams to win at least 10 games in four of the past five seasons (also Alabama, Appalachian State, Boise State, Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Wisconsin).
 
San Diego State, which returns 18 starters from last year's team, including eight each on offense and defense, and seven 2019 all-Mountain West selections, begins spring practice on March 2.
