SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State women's basketball team (12-15, 7-8) hits the road for games at UNLV (12-14, 8-7) Saturday and at Colorado State (12-14, 6-9) Monday. Both games will be streamed on the Mountain West Network and Chris Ello will have an audio-only broadcast as well.
 
Aztec Tidbits
• With a 7-8 record in Mountain West play, the Aztecs are tied for sixth place, and a game behind UNLV for fifth place, who SDSU beat earlier this year. The top five teams receive a first-round bye at the MW Tournament.
• SDSU's seven wins in conference, matches their win total from a year ago when they went 7-11 and tied for seventh place.
• The Aztecs lost to Boise State 69-67 in overtime last Saturday.
• Against the Broncos, Sophia Ramos became the first Aztec (male or female) to have at least 25 points, 14 rebounds and five assists in a game in the Mountain West era (1999-present).
• Ramos has three games this season with at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Only Oregon's Sabrina Ionescu, the reigning national player of the year, has done it more times.
• Taylor Kalmer is averaging 16.7 points per game in conference play, second in the conference. She has scored in double-digits in 21 straight games, the longest streak by an Aztec in the MW era (1999-present). She is top three in the conference in minutes per game (1st, 37.55), field goal attempts (2nd, 366) and field goals made (3rd, 161).
• The Aztecs lead the Mountain West in three-point percentage in conference play (.360) but have the fewest attempts.
• The Aztecs' field goal percentage of 41.7 percent would be the program's best since the 2013-14 season.
• As of Thursday, Taylor Kalmer and Sophia Ramos are second and tenth in the nation in total minutes played.
• Freshman Isabela Hernandez is shooting 41.7 percent (20-48) from three on the season. If she maintains that pace and reaches 50 attempts, that would be the third best in a single season in school history.
• In conference play, Monique Terry is shooting 45.2 percent from three and Hernandez is shooting 44.8 percent.
• SDSU is top three in the MW in three-point percentage, field goal percentage defense, three-point percentage defense and free throws made and attempted.

Team Notes
•  This was just the second time this season the Aztecs have lost when leading with five minutes remaining (12-2).
• This was SDSU's third overtime game of the year (1-2).
• The Aztecs fall to 5-14 when their opponent scores 60 points or more.
• This was SDSU's 15th time holding their opponent under 40 percent shooting from the field (9-6).
• Both teams shot 38 percent from the field.
• The Aztecs have held their opponents to 4-for-38 shooting (10.5 percent) from three over the last two games.
• This was the 11th time an Aztec has scored 20 or more points.
• SDSU allowed Boise State to score 42 points in the paint, the second most they have given up this season.
• The Broncos had 26 bench points after scoring 42 in their previous meeting.
• Boise State had 21 assists on 28 field goals.
• The Aztecs had just 10 turnovers, they had a season-high 22 in their last game.

• Kalmer played all 45 minutes against Boise State and is now averaging 39.1 minutes per game in Mountain West games. Kalmer and Ramos are first and second in the MW in minutes per game.
• Kalmer has had at least three assists in nine of her last 10 games.
• Téa Adams had 12 points, her second straight game in double-digits after going eight consecutive games with less than 10 points.
• Adams had a team-best plus/minus of +8.
• This was Baylee Vanderdoes 100th consecutive game (112th overall).
 
Opponent Notebook (UNLV)
• The Lady Rebels are 12-14 overall and 8-7 in conference, good for fifth place
• After starting MW play 8-3, they have now lost four in a row.
• UNLV lost four starters from last year's team which tied for fifth in the conference with a 10-8 record.
• They are 8-6 at home.
• UNLV holds opponents to 25.5 percent shooting from three, seventh in the nation.
• The Lady Rebels lead the Mountain West in rebound margin (+5.3)
• UNLV is allowing 59.7 points per game, third in the conference.
• UNLV attempts and makes the fewest three-pointers per game in the conference.
• The Lady Rebels are last in the league in blocked shots, assists and assist to turnover ratio.
• Rodjanae Wade, last year's Mountain West Sixth Person of the Year, has 17 double-doubles, the most in the league and tied for the third most in the nation.
• Wade averages 10.8 rebounds per game, including 5.0 on the offensive glass, the third most in the nation.
• Wade leads the Mountain West in free throw attempts and is second in makes.
• Head coach Kathy Olivier is in her 12th season at UNLV following 15 years as the head coach at UCLA. She has over 400 career victories.

• UNLV leads the all-time series 31-29.
• Before SDSU's 48-39 win last month, UNLV had won the last five meetings, winning by an average of 12.4 points.
• SDSU is 10-21 all-time against UNLV on the road.
