SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State track and field team hosted another successful Red-Black All-Comers and Intrasquad Meet on Dec. 7. The meet had 382 athletes competing despite rainy weather and was supported by over 60 staff and volunteers.
 
The black team narrowly edged out the red squad by a score of 74-61. The meet was highlighted by Sakura Roberson's meet record in the 600 meter run (1:31.84). Danae Dyer accumulated the most points, finishing with 11.25. All SDSU student-athletes were competing unattached.

Dyer had the top time in the 60m hurdles (8.43) and the 150m dash (17.65) and also helped the black team win the 4x400m relay.

Jordan Bryant won both the shot put (12.95m) and the javelin throw (32.48m).

Other Aztecs to take first included: Nyjari McNeil (1000m, 2:53.76), Jalyn Harris (300m, 38.96), Jada Moore (60m, 7.59), Molly Scharmann (3000m, 15:09.91), Felicia Crenshaw (discus, 45.99m), Sara Absten (long jump, 5.46m) and Cari Acosta (weight throw, 14.02m).

Freshman Elizabeth Funk took first in the pole vault (3.65m), winning the tiebreaker over Alysia Allen. Asia Smith won the high jump (1.60m), edging Sara Absten.

The red relay team of Molly Scharmann, Taylor Alexander, Alysia Allen and Vanessa Spizewski won the 4x200m with a time of 1:49.28. The black team took the 4x400m relay with the group of Neele Schuten, Danae Dyer, Jada Moore and Jalyn Harris.
