New Mexico Bowl Tidbits

SAN DIEGO – Bowl eligible for the 10th consecutive season, San Diego State’s football team is slated to compete in the New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque, N.M.

ABOUT THE NEW MEXICO BOWL
The 14th annual New Mexico Bowl will be played at Dreamstyle Stadium on Dec. 21, 2019. Kickoff is scheduled for noon MT (11 a.m. PT).

The Aztecs have never participated in the New Mexico Bowl during its 14-year history, but Rocky Long spent 11 seasons as the New Mexico’s head coach from 1998-2008. In fact, Long led the Lobos to a bid in the New Mexico Bowl’s inaugural game in 2006 and a second bid to the bowl during the 2007 season. The most recent installment of the bowl saw the Mountain West’s Utah State topple Conference USA’s North Texas, 52-13.
