SAN DIEGO – San Diego State's swimming and diving team sends its divers to the Northern Arizona Diving Invitational #1 Friday through Sunday. SDSU looks to continue its success in Flagstaff after bringing home the invitational's title during the 2018-19 season.

The Aztecs compete against the Idaho Vandals and host Northern Arizona Lumberjacks in 1-meter, 3-meter, and platform action . Last year saw then-freshman Ximena Lechuga Gonzalez lead the Aztecs throughout the competition, recording 32 individual points to finish in a tie for second among the 16-diver field while finishing in the top three on all three boards.

The Scarlet and Black have not hit the water since Oct. 18, 2019, where Lechuga Gonzalez took home both the 1 and 3-meter titles in a double-dual meet against Pepperdine and Boise State at the Aztec Aquaplex. Lechuga's effort against the Broncos and Waves on the 1-meter sits as the eighth-best score in the Mountain West this season while her 3-meter performance is the seventh-best effort by a conference diver this season.

Results from Flagstaff will be available on GoAztecs.com after each day of competition.
