FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The Aztec swim team wrapped up their road trip with back-to-back dual meets at Alaska Fairbanks. SDSU came away with two wins with scores of 113-54 and 117-114.

In the first meet, SDSU won the 500 free, 50 back, 50 free, 100 IM, 400 IM and the 200-yard free relay.

The Aztecs had the top three finishers in the 500 free, led by Milena Karpiza (5:11.98), and the top four finishers in the 50 backstroke. Alma Thormalm had the top SDSU time, coming in 26.86.
Klara Thormalm earned a first-place finish in the 50 free (24.11) and 100 IM (57.64) and then Kristina Murphy won the 400 IM (4:33.26).

SDSU ended the meet by taking the top two spots in the 200 free relay. Sammy Geyer, Alma Thormalm, Lizzie Menzmer and Klara Thormalm finished in 1:36.53.

In day two of action, Elli Ferrin, Paige Mitchell and Klara Thormalm had the top time in two individual events each. Ferrin was the fastest in the 100 back (56.97) and 200 IM (2:11.03), Paige Mitchell won the 200 fly (2:12.05) and the 500 free (5:10.77) and Klara Thormalm continued her impressive road trip with the top times in the 50 free (24.12) and 200 breast (2:18.51).

Other Aztecs with top times included Milena Karpiza (1000 free, 10:37.95), McKenna Meyer (200 free, 1:56.05), Sammy Geyer (100 breast, 1:06.22), Peyton Wilson (100 free, 52.79) and Riley Tapley (200 back, 2:06.69).

SDSU wrapped up their road trip with a first-place finish in the 400-freestyle relay. Alma Thormalm, Peyton Wilson, Kristina Murphy and McKenna Meyer finished in 3:36.17.
