SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's basketball team will be holding tryouts for walk-ons on Monday, September 23 in the JAM Center.
Students wishing to participate in the tryout must sign up in the women's basketball office, which is located in Suite 3022 of the third floor of the Fowler Athletics Center, by Monday, September 16.
In order to be eligible to tryout, participants MUST have had a physical performed within the past year, be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours at San Diego State and be available for practice Monday through Friday from 1-4 p.m.
The physical must be performed by a MD or DO with the linked exam form filled out. Anything performed by a nurse practitioner, physician's assistant or chiropractor will not be accepted. Appointments can be scheduled through the Calpulli Student Health Services Building.
A sickle cell test is also required, which can also be completed at Calpulli. However, this is not required for students born in California.
The linked medical packet needs to be filled out entirely and sent to Associate Athletic Trainer Queenie Soriano (qsoriano@sdsu.edu), along with a copy of insurance cards (front and back), by Sept. 16.
