SAN DIEGO – The Aztec swim and dive team will embark on a lengthy road trip this weekend where they will have four meets in three states across four days.

On Friday, they compete at Washington State against the Cougars, Idaho and Nevada in a relay meet. The following day they will go up travel to Moscow, Idaho to take on the Vandals in a dual meet before heading to Alaska Fairbanks for dual meets Sunday and Monday.

Last year the Aztecs hosted WSU and Nevada for the relay meet and took first place, winning by the score of 158-142-134. SDSU won seven of the 10 relay races. Friday's meet begins at 5 p.m. PT and will be streamed live.

The next morning, the Aztecs will cross state lines and compete against the University of Idaho at 10 a.m. in a dual meet. SDSU last faced off against the Vandals in 2014, beating them in a double dual meet at Colorado State 193.5-106.5.

On Sunday and Monday, SDSU competes at Alaska Fairbanks with competition starting at 5 p.m. AST each evening. This will be the first time the Aztecs have competed against Fairbanks in a dual meet. They last crossed paths in 2009 when both schools competed in the Toshiba Classic in Long Beach, Calif.

The Aztecs kicked off the 2019-20 season two weeks ago with a commanding 33-24 win over San Diego in its annual season-opening pentathlon meet, defeating their crosstown foes to open the season for ninth consecutive year. The Aztecs improved to 23-0 against the Toreros since 2008.

Elli Ferrin was the top Aztec finisher in the pentathlon events and was followed by McKenna Meyer and Evonne Stehr. SDSU topped the Toreros in every pentathlon event and earned the most points possible.
