SAN DIEGO – The Aztec men's soccer team played UC San Diego to a 1-1 draw in their final exhibition match Saturday evening at the SDSU Sports Deck.

The Aztecs scored in the third minute of the game when Emil Kjellker converted a cross from Tristan Weber. The Tritons tied the match up in the 43rd minute on a Brett Jones goal.

"I knew Tristan was going to send it in, so I made my run and it was a perfect ball, so I just needed put it in," senior Emil Kjellker said after the match.

SDSU didn't allow a Triton shot until the 28th minute and UCSD's first shot on goal didn't come until the 42nd minute.

The Aztecs had two other shots that required an excellent save from UCSD's goalkeeper Lucas Rojas.

Freshman goalkeeper Tetsuya Kadono played the first half and allowed UCSD's lone goal. Harrison Skinner played the second 45 and didn't allow a goal and collected one save.
