SAN DIEGO – Fresh off its first win in conference play, San Diego State women's tennis is set to travel to two Mountain West opponents this weekend, first stopping at San Jose State on Friday, April 5, then traveling to Reno, Nev., on Sunday, April 7, to take on Nevada. Friday's dual match is scheduled for noon, while first serve in Sunday's contest against the Wolf Pack is set for 11 a.m.

The Spartans, who currently own a 7-5 record, open conference play at home against both the Aztecs and UNLV this weekend. SJSU returns to the Spartan Tennis Complex following a trip to Honolulu, Hawaii, last weekend where they split one-and-one in dual matches against Hawaii Pacific (W, 4-0) and Hawai'i (L, 4-2). Sunday's loss to the Rainbow Wahine snapped a three match win streak.

The Wolf Pack, sitting at 8-6, also open their conference season this Friday, taking on UNLV prior to the Rebels' trip to San Jose. Nevada enters the weekend having earned just three wins in their last seven matches, most recently snagging a 4-3 victory at home against Sonoma State on March 30.

The Aztecs head into the weekend with a 10-7, 1-0 MW record, fresh off last Friday's 4-1 victory at home over Fresno State. The Scarlet and Black dive into the month of April after putting together a 4-2 record the month prior.

As a result of solid play in the last few months, Aztec sophomore Nnena Nadozie and freshman Alicia Melosch have moved into the ITA national doubles rankings, locking in the No. 77 spot. The duo has captured wins in four of the last five doubles matches they have been able to finish, dropping the sole loss in a seven-point tie break against Houston.

Results from Friday's match at SJSU will be available on GoAztecs.com following the conclusion of the match, while Sunday's match at Nevada will have live results.
