SAN DIEGO – After a nine-day hiatus from competition, the Aztecs return home to the Aztec Tennis Center this weekend to kick off a seven-match homestand, beginning with Middle Tennessee State on Friday, March 8, and University of the Pacific on Sunday, March 10. First serve on Friday is set for 2 p.m., while Sunday's match is scheduled to begin at noon.

SDSU squares off against Middle Tennessee State for the first time in program history in Friday's dual match. The Blue Raiders (4-8) finish their San Diego swing after a 6-1 loss at No. 42 USD on Wednesday. Members of Conference USA, Middle Tennessee has gone 3-3 in the last 30 days and tallied its first C-USA loss vs. Old Dominion on Feb. 8, 6-1.

The Pacific Tigers, currently 1-3, are scheduled to play at San Jose State on Friday before traveling to America's Finest City later this weekend. Pacific's sole win this season came in a narrow 4-3 defeat over Louisiana on Sunday, March 3, in a neutral-site dual in Elk Grove, Calif. SDSU and Pacific have not competed in dual play in the last decade, as the teams last met during the 2002 season when the Aztecs topped the Tigers 6-1.

The Scarlet and Black return to formal competition looking to bounce back from two straight 5-2 losses, first at USD on Feb. 23 and again at No. 32 USC on Feb. 26. Despite a hot start in the month of January when the Aztecs went 3-0, February presented more challenging matchups and the Aztecs tallied a 3-5 record during the short month.

Despite team losses in the last two matches, sophomore Nnena Nadozie enjoyed success at the end of the month, claiming back-to-back-to-back wins in singles action against Hawai'i, and at USD and USC, and won two out of three doubles matchups. Nadozie's singles win at USC (vs. No 120 Becca Weissmann, 6-4, 6-2) marked her first career win over a ranked opponent.

Admission is free at all SDSU women's tennis matches at the Aztec Tennis Center. Results from Friday and Sunday's matches will be available on GoAztecs.com once play concludes each day.
