Bonnie Draxler Set for NCAA Indoor Championships
Pole vaulter Bonnie Draxler (Wrightstown, Wisc.) will be representing the Aztecs in the NCAA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Ala. this Saturday. The pole vault competition begins at 2:00 p.m. PT. ESPN will be streaming the meet, but their main coverage will be on the track events.
Draxler was recently named the USTFCCCA West Region Field Athlete of the Year and set the SDSU and Mountain West Indoor record (14-10.00) last month. Two weeks ago, she won her fourth Mountain West pole vault title to become the first athlete (male or female) to accomplish that feat. Her season-best mark of 14-10.00 is the third best in the country.
This will be Draxler's third time competing at the NCAA's. She finished in 16th at the Indoor Championships last year and 21st at the 2017 outdoor championships.

At the SD Collegiate Challenge, six athletes will be competing in two events: Cari Acosta (discus & hammer throws), Lisa-Anne Barrow (100m & LJ), Jordyn Bryant (discus throw and javelin), Carina Clark (200m & 400m hurdles), Kasey Ebb (100m & 200m) and Lakin Hatcher (100m & 200m).
