SAN DIEGO -- San Diego State continues its non-conference portion of the schedule on Tuesday night when it welcomes Florida Gulf Coast to SDSU Softball Stadium. First pitch between the Aztecs (10-8) and the Eagles (8-9) is 6 p.m. PT.

Both teams played in the rain-shortened San Diego Classic over the weekend with SDSU going 2-1 and FGCU finishing 1-3.

Maddi Ayers leads the San Diego State offense with a .375 average and .524 on-base percentage in 21 plate appearances. Molly Sturdivant (.327, 5 RBI, 4 2B, 6 R), Kelsey Munoz (.321, 2 HR, 11 RBI, 8 R) and Kiera Wright (.317, 15 R, 9-9 SB) also are hitting over .300 for the Aztecs (min. 10 at-bats).

Marissa Moreno has done the bulk of the pitching for SDSU, going 5-3 with a save and a 3.65 ERA in 55 2/3 innings. The right-hander has three complete games and two shutouts, striking out 50 against 25 walks. Alicia Garcia (3-4, 3.68 ERA, 26.2 IP) is coming off a good weekend, while MJ James (2-1, 5.75 ERA, 31.2 IP) has also started six times in the circle.

Florida Gulf Coast is led offensively by Racquel Fournet (.296, 7 RBI), Marcella Parrado (.296) and Sammi Poehlman (.281).

The Eagle pitching staff, meanwhile, comes into its game with San Diego State with an impressive 1.69 ERA, thanks mainly to the efforts of Riley Randolph. The left-hander is 6-5 with a 0.79 ERA in 70 2/3 innings, striking out 92 against 13 walks and limiting her opponents to a .167 average.

Following the midweek clash, the Aztecs head to Long Beach, Calif., for the Louisville Slugger Classic for games against Robert Morris at 2 p.m. PT Thursday, Boston Univ. (9 a.m. PT) and Liberty (11:30 a.m. PT) on Friday, and Ohio Univ. (9 a.m. PT) and host Long Beach State (11:30 a.m. PT) on Saturday.
