Storylines
- The Aztecs will have their first set of games at home this week. They host Villanova Wednesday afternoon and then will host the annual Aztec Invitational over the weekend, with eight teams playing a total of 14 games Friday-Sunday. SDSU will begin the Invitational against Azusa Pacific for their GCC opener. The Aztecs will pay Saint Francis (PA) immediately after that game. On Saturday, the Aztecs will play Long Beach State at 10:30 a.m. SDSU wraps up the weekend with a 2:15 game against Bucknell on Saturday.
- The Aztecs went 1-3 at the Barbara Kalbus Invitational Feb. 22-24. They began the tournament with losses to No. 1 USC (5-13) and No. 9 UC Santa Barbara (5-11) and then dropped a heartbreaker to No. 13 San José State 10-9 in overtime. They salvaged the weekend with an 11-4 win over No. 21 CSUN, avenging a 7-3 loss to the Matadors on February 9.
- The Aztecs rose from No. 25 to No. 22 in the latest CWPA polls. The new rankings will be released Wednesday afternoon.
- The Aztecs tied a season-high with 11 goals against No. 21 CSUN in their 11-4 win. SDSU was 11-for-24 in goal attempts, also a season-best.
- Senior goalkeeper Maura Cantoni had a season-high 17 saves against San José State.
- Haley Hagerty recorded a hat trick against San José State, scoring three times despite taking just three attempts.
- Senior captain Hannah Carrillo leads the team in goals (15) and assists (13). She has had five multi-goal games and three hat tricks.
- Sophomore Emily Bennett leads the team in steals (33) and ejections drawn (29) and is second in assists (8). She has had multiple steals in eight of the Aztecs' 11 games.
- Karli Canale has scored eight goals in only 20 attempts (.400).
