Aztecs Wrap Up Don Kirby Invite

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Aztec track and field team wrapped up day two of the Don Kirby Invitational, their final meet before the Mountain West Indoor Championships in two weeks.
Bonnie Draxler was the top collegiate finisher in the pole vault, clearing 14-02.50, which was good for third place. Former Aztec Kortney Ross (Risen Performance) won the event (15-02.25).

Draxler also showed off her speed, running a personal best time in the 60m dash (7.51).

Sophomore Callista Fletcher took second place in the 60m dash with a personal best time of 7.40, sixth best in school history. Her time was just 0.06 seconds off first place and from tying Ashley Henderson's SDSU record for sophomores.

Freshman Nyjari McNeil took third in the 400m dash with a time of 54.08, just 0.06 seconds off her PR. Sophomore Jalyn Harris set a new PR, finishing in 54.20 to set a new record for SDSU sophomores.

McNeil and Harris, along with Kasey Ebb and Sakura Roberson, helped the Aztecs finish the 4x400m relay in 3:43.61, which was also good for fifth in school history. SDSU's B team (Brosch, Barrow, Fletcher, Hatcher) finished in 3:49.76.

THE NOTE
Callista Fletcher has set a new career best in the 60 meter dash in all three meets this season.
