The No. 22 San Diego State water polo team will be back in action this weekend at UC San Diego's Triton Invitational. Their first game will be against No. 9 Arizona State Saturday at 11:10 a.m. and then depending on the result they will play either No. 8 Michigan or No. 21 CSUN later that afternoon. The Aztecs will also play two games on Sunday with times and opponents to be determined. There will be no streams this weekend and there will only be live stats if the Aztecs face UC San Diego on Sunday.

NEED TO KNOW

  • The Aztecs are 12-12 all-time against Arizona State but have lost the last seven meetings. The Sun Devils were ranked in the top ten in all seven of those meetings.
  • The Aztecs are 1-2 on the year and have been off since January 20 after competing in the Rainbow Invitational. Their only competition since then was their annual exhibition match against SDSU alumni.
  • Shelby Kraft and Hannah Carrillo each have seven points on the season, tied for the team lead. Kraft has six goals while Carrillo has four goals and three assists.
  • Emily Bennett leads the team with 11 steals, which is ranked second in the GCC.
  • The Aztecs went 2-2 at last year's Triton Invitational. They beat T-No. 13 UC Santa Barbara (7-4) and No. 23 CSUN (8-5) and lost to T-No. 2 USC (14-2) and No. 10 UC Davis (13-8).
