* San Diego State plays opens the home portion of the 19th season of Mountain West Conference play on Tuesday evening with a game against original league member Wyoming.
 
* The Aztecs are 6-2 in home games this season, with a +132-point scoring margin in the eight contests at Viejas.
 
* At home, SDSU has significant advantages in field goal shooting (45.9-38.9), three-point field goal percentage (40.8-28.3) and has made more free throws (17.9/game) than its opponents have attempted (16.1/game).

* Senior guard Devin Watson needs four points to reach the 1,500-point plateau for his career (869 at USF and 627 at SDSU). Currently, there are only 39 active Division players who has scored at least 1,500 points. Only seven of those players have 1,500 points and 400 assists (Watson has 421 assists).
 
* Watson is one of only seven players in the nation to average at least 15 points, 5 assists and 2.5 three-point field goals per game this season. He has scored or assisted on 40.4 percent of San Diego State's field goals this season and averages an astonishing 1.429 points per possession and shoots 47.6 percent (20-of-42 3FGs) from the field on his 42 catch-and-shoot possessions this season.
 
* Senior guard Jeremy Hemsley is in 16th place on the school's career scoring list with 1,222 points. In his last nine games he is 12-of-27 from three-point range (44.4 percent). SDSU career ranks: 8th in three-point field goal attempts (386), 9th in three-point field goals (134), 11th in field goal attempts (993), 14th in minutes played (3,054), T-14th in games played (115), 15th in field goals (420), 16th in free-throw attempts (365), 16th in points (1,222), 18th in games started (77), 19th in free throws (248), 21st in assists (229).
 
* Sophomore guard Jordan Schakel has 122 points this season (in 14 games), 16 points more than he accumulated during his entire freshman season (33 games). Schakel, who is averaging 8.7 points and 4.4 rebounds has connected on 26-of-58 three-point field goal attempts this season (44.8 percent). He is one of 14 players in the nation who is shooting 45 percent from the field (minimum 75 field goal attempts), 44 percent from beyond the arc and 89 percent from the free-throw line.
 
* Sophomore forward Jalen McDaniels has reached double figures in 14 of his last 15 games. He is averaging 14.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists and has multiple assists in eight of his last nine games. In 21 post-up possessions this season he is 9-of-15 from the field and with free throws included is averaging 1.14 points per possession.
 
* Sophomore forward Matt Mitchell is third on the team in scoring at 12.2 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest. Excluding post-ups, he is averaging 1.54 points per possession in 35 opportunities around the basket. That includes 26-of-35 from the field (74.3 percent).
