SAN DIEGO - San Diego State water polo's annual alumni game is set for this Saturday at Aztec Aquaplex. Admission to the noon exhibition and all regular-season games on campus is free.
Last year, the Alumni won 8-7 to snap a three year win streak for the Aztec student-athletes. Current assistant coach and former All-American Ioli Benekou scored two fourth quarter goals, including the game-winner.
The Aztecs, currently ranked T-No. 22 in the nation, went 1-2 last weekend at the Rainbow Invite. They kicked off the season with an 11-6 win over Sonoma State before a couple of tough losses to Marist (6-7) at T-No.6 Hawai'i (9-17).
SDSU will return to regular season play February 9-10 at the annual Triton Invitational at UCSD
