SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State swimming and diving team continues a four-meet homestand on Wednesday, Dec. 19, hosting Cal Poly and Air Force for a double dual meet at the Aztec Aquaplex scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
In addition to the trio of women's teams competing, both Cal Poly and Air Force's men's teams will also be in competition.
Most recently, the Aztecs cruised to a 141-132 home win over Pepperdine. Maude Boily-Dufour led the Aztecs to its fifth dual meet win of the season, posting a pair of first-place finishes in both the 200 IM and 200 back.
In last year's meeting with Cal Poly and Air Force, the Aztecs reeled in a pair of wins, defeating the Mustangs, 165-135, and the Falcons, 199-92. McKenna Meyer led the Aztecs, winning both the 1000 free and 200 IM.
The Aztecs most recently saw the Falcons at last year's Mountain West Championships, where SDSU posted its ninth consecutive top-three finish with a second-place showing. Air Force finished ninth (out of 10 teams), topping San Jose State on the final leaderboard.
SDSU currently stands 40th in College Swimming's national rankings, standing as the highest ranked Mountain West program.
Following Wednesday's meet against Cal Poly and Air Force, SDSU hosts Oregon State and Incarnate Word for 9:00 a.m. meet on New Year's Eve.
