SAN DIEGO – Fewer than 500 reserved public tickets remain for the San Diego State men's basketball exhibition game Thursday against Chaminade. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Viejas Arena and the contest marks the first opportunity for the public to see the 2018-19 squad.
Tickets, including limited numbers in chairback seats, are available 24 hours a day at GoAztecs.com and can also be purchased at the Viejas Arena ticket office. Tickets for the contest against the Silverswords start at $10.
San Diego State was recently picked second in the Mountain West preseason media poll and returns three of their top four scorers from last season (Devin Watson, Matt Mitchell, Jalen McDaniels) and four of their top six (Watson, Mitchell, McDaniels, Jeremy Hemsley) off a 2017-18 team that went 22-11, won their Mountain West-high 11th conference title and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the seventh time in the last nine years.
San Diego State will officially open the 2018-19 campaign and unveil the 2018 Mountain West Conference championship banner against Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Viejas Arena on Nov. 6.
