SAN DIEGO — The San Diego State men's basketball Holiday Pack, featuring six home games, is scheduled to go on sale 9 a.m. PT on Monday, Oct. 1. This year's package includes games against Cal State Dominguez Hills (Dec. 12), Brigham Young (Dec. 22), Brown (Dec. 29), CSUN (Jan. 1), Wyoming (Jan. 8) and New Mexico (Jan. 15).
This season's Holiday Pack is available for $99 with tickets located in the SDSU student section, and those who are interested can purchase them online at www.goaztecs.com, by calling the Aztec Ticket Office at (619) 283-7378 or by visiting the ticket office at Window E at SDCCU Stadium. Fans will also receive one UltraStar movie pass per Holiday Pack purchased.
Those who order the Holiday Pack will see the Aztecs play host to Cal State Dominguez Hills, a team SDSU has never faced in 97 seasons of basketball. Ten days following its clash with the Toros, the Aztecs will face an old foe in BYU. The teams have not met since the 2014 Maui Invitational when San Diego State prevailed in double overtime, 92-87. Prior to that meeting, the schools had not played each other since the 2010-11 campaign when they were members of the Mountain West.
San Diego State will close the calendar year on Dec. 29 against Brown. It will mark the second series meeting with the Ivy League school and first since Dec. 28, 1979. The Aztecs will ring in 2019 against Cal State Northridge on New Year's Day. This will be the teams' first meeting since 2014, with SDSU winning four straight in the series.
The Aztecs will battle Wyoming only once this season (Jan. 8), marking the third time they will play only once since the inception of the Mountain West. SDSU is 26-11 all-time against the Cowboys and will look to continue their 10-game home winning streak vs. Wyoming.
Completing the Holiday Pack is the game against New Mexico at Viejas Arena. This is the first time SDSU will host the Lobos since the 2016-17 season. The teams last met in the 2018 conference tournament final, when SDSU prevailed with a 82-75 victory en route to the NCAA tournament.
The Aztecs are set to return three of their top four scorers from last season (Devin Watson, Matt Mitchell, Jalen McDaniels) and four of their top six (Watson, Mitchell, McDaniels, Jeremy Hemsley) off a 2017-18 team that went 22-11, won their Mountain West-high 11th conference title and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the seventh time in the last nine years.
