Allison Tenenbaum enters her first year as San Diego State's Administrative Services/Human Resources Coordinator in 2017 after starting in February. Tenenbaum provides human resources support for 150 employees of the athletic department and serves as a liaison between the athletic department and the University's Center for Human Resources. She also reviews position descriptions to ensure compliance with CSU Classification Standards, assists with all phases of the recruitment process, processes all necessary forms regarding employment issues and coordinates a variety of programs for the staff. From April 2011 to February 2017, Tenenbaum was the Benefits Analyst at SDSU. While in that position, she was tasked with providing superior customer service to more than 4,000 University employees for health and welfare, retirement, leaves of absence and other benefit-related programs. She also referenced and interpreted collective bargaining agreements, Chancellor's Office technical letters, CalPERS Circular Letters and state and federal regulations in application of benefits programs to ensure compliance. For new hires, she presented orientations, enrolled them into benefit plans and determined CalPERS eligibility. Prior to SDSU, she spent six months at Santa Fe Irrigation District, five years at Aurora Electronics, and four years at Fujitsu Microelectronics. Tenenbaum graduated from San Diego State University with both a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's in Human Resources Management. In January 2011, she received her PHR certification.
