Basketball Teams To Host Inaugural Tip-Off Luncheon

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's and women's basketball teams will hold their first-ever Aztec Tip-Off Luncheon on Monday, Oct. 28, at the Town & Country Convention Center in Mission Valley at noon.

The event will give fans the opportunity to meet and visit with the players and coaches from the 2002-2003 teams. Men's head coach Steve Fisher, along with new women's head coach Jim Tomey, will be on hand to address the guests about the upcoming season. Everyone in attendance will receive a commemorative gift.

The cost for an individual ticket is $50. A table for 10 costs $400, and to reserve a table of nine plus the sponsorship of one student-athlete is $500.

San Diego State's men's team is the defending Mountain West Conference tournament champion and is coming off its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1985.
