SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State rowing team prepares to face Loyola Marymount and UC San Diego in Marina del Rey, Calif., on Saturday, April 14. Races are slated to begin at 9 a.m.

Off the dock first thing Saturday will be the varsity eight boats (SDSU, LMU and UCSD) at 9 a.m. LMU and SDSU will each race a crew in the 9:10 a.m. second varsity eight and the 9:20 a.m. varsity four, while the Lions enter a single second varsity four boat and the Aztecs will race both an `A' and `B' boat at 9:30 a.m.

LMU's latest event at Saint Mary's was cancelled due to inclement weather in Northern California. Following its races at the San Diego Crew Classic, the Lions participated in the Berg Cup in Newport Beach, Calif., where the team recorded wins in the 2V8 and V4 events. The Tritons also raced in the Berg Cup with LMU, where their V8 and 2V8 races were cancelled due to fog.

The Aztecs return to competition this weekend following the V8's grand final win of the Cal Cup at the SD Crew Classic. The team also finished third in the V4 `B' final only race, logged fourth place finishes in the V4 `A' and 3V8 petite and final only events, and came in sixth in the 2V8 petite final.

Following the trip to Marina del Rey, the Aztecs are set to face UCSD once again on Friday, April 20 in Chula Vista, Calif., at the Olympic Training Center. Races are tentatively scheduled for 7 a.m.
