LOS ANGELES -
San Diego State track and field had a small contingent compete at the Oxy Invitational, hosted by Occidental College in Los Angeles, on Saturday.
Senior Starlynn Singleton placed third in the 100-meter dash with an 11.79 time.
In the 1,500 meters, senior Angel Bucci set a collegiate best by .01 second, crossing the finish line in 4:52.09 to take 39th. Classmate Cali King also competed (5:10.00, 49th).
In the long jump, sophomore Lisa-Anne Barrow cleared 19 feet, 9.75 inches for fourth, .25 inch off her collegiate best. Classmate Je'Neal Ainsworth was eighth in the triple jump with a 38-07.75 mark.
Junior Cindy Flores competed in the 800 meters (2:14.12, 31st) and senior Elaine Ribeiro was 17th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:26.03).
The Scarlet and Black next heads to Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Utah State, from Weds., May 10 through Sat., May 13.
