San Diego State track & field had six top 10 finishes with split squads at the Beach Invitational and Bryan Clay Invitational Friday.

SDSU concluded the Bryan Clay Invitational by competing in the 100, 400, 800 and 400-meter hurdles.

In the 400, junior Simone Glenn took home bronze with a collegiate-best 53.91, the ninth-fastest mark in program history. Senior Tyra Lea ran the 400 in 55.33 to place ninth.

Three Aztecs ran the 100-meter hurdles, finishing in the top 15 of 87 entrants. Led by senior Micha Auzenne, she posted a 13.58 time for sixth. Sophomore Sierra Brabham-Lawrence was ninth (13.66) and freshman Andrenette Knight took 14th (14.08).

Senior Starlynn Singleton paced SDSU in the 100-meter dash with her fifth-place 11.71 time. Junior Rochene Smith finished eighth, crossing the finish line in 11.79. Their first collegiate appearances in the event saw sophomores Lisa-Anne Barrow (12.12) and Brabham-Lawrence (12.35) place 25th and 47th respectively.

Senior Cali King raced to a collegiate-best 2:28.06 in the 800, placing 133rd.

The Scarlet and Black opened the Beach Invitational with a 20th-place finish in the javelin by junior Melody Harris, and senior Freja Liljedahl took 45th in the hammer throw (172-06).

Tomorrow closes out SDSU's week with an action-packed day at the Beach Invitational. The Aztecs are off to an early start with the long jump (Barrow, Singleton, Kira Moreland) and pole vault starting at 8:30 a.m. (Bonnie Draxler, Marissa Berry, Sara Curran, Katherine Magill, Rachel Craft).

Junior Cindy Flores kicks off track competition at 9:06 a.m. with the 1,500 meters. At 10:31 a.m., Auzenne, Glenn, Smith and Singleton will compete in the 4x100-meter relay. The 100-meter hurdles (Auzenne, Brabham-Lawrence, Knight) follow at 11:03 a.m., with the 400 (Tyra Lea, Lakin Hatcher) slated for 12:05 p.m.

Senior Rachel Alesi will throw the shot put at 12:20 p.m., and freshman Hannah Taylor is scheduled for the high jump at 12:30 p.m. At 1:30 p.m., three Aztecs will run the 100-meter dash (Glenn, Smith, Auzenne) and 30 minutes later, another Aztec trio will compete in the 800 (Monique McPherson, Angela Wilson, Flores). Sophomore Je'Neal Ainsworth is set for the triple jump at 3:30 p.m.

The 400-meter hurdles (Knight, Madison Gipson, Jasmine Young) are on tap for 3:55 p.m., ahead of the discus throw (Alesi, Anushi Desai) at 4:15 p.m. San Diego State will have its largest presence of the day in the 200 (Ashley Henderson, Glenn, Smith, Singleton, Barrow) at 4:45 p.m. The day concludes at 6:26 p.m. with the 4x400-meter relay (Hatcher, Glenn, Knight, Lea).
