Final Results

San Diego State junior Ashley Henderson earned two fourth-place finishes in the finals of the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday.

"Today, I felt good, and now I feel even better going into the outdoor season," Henderson said. "I feel like I have a lot left in me. I have to thank (head) Coach (Shelia) Burrell and (assistant) Coach Michelle (Freeman) for their support and motivation. They helped me build my confidence because I didn't know what I was capable of doing during indoor."

The 60-meter dash saw Henderson narrowly finish fourth. She ran the race in 7.216, beating out Deajah Stevens from Oregon (7.218) and Kortnei Johnson from LSU (7.220). Oregon's Hannah Cunliffe captured gold with her 7.14 time.

In the 200, which was split into two four-person sections, Henderson won the first section with her 22.83 time, yet finished fourth in the race. Oregon again took two of the top three spots, with Ariana Washington winning the race (22.42) and Cunliffe taking second (22.53). Deanna Hill of USC took home bronze with her 22.54 time.

"Ashley learned a lot in her first indoor national championships," Burrell said. "The level of competition at this meet requires confidence and execution. I feel that she did San Diego State proud."
