All seven members of the San Diego State diving team competed on the 3-meter board Saturday afternoon as action concluded at the annual Air Force Diving Invitational in Colorado Springs, Colo.

For the second straight day, junior Alexandra Caplan led the Aztecs as her score of 301.05 in the finals gave her a fourth-place finish in the event. That came after she compiled a mark of 286.90 in the prelims to stand second after the first six dives of the day.

Caplan was the lone SDSU diver to advance to the finals that saw the top eight (of 64) finishers in the prelims move on.

Makena Chamoures was next for San Diego State as her score of 247.10 saw her end the day in 13th place. She was followed by Payton Gabris, who turned in a mark of 221.45 for her six preliminary dives and could a not advance to the final round.

SDSU's Nicole Dutton placed 34th with a score of 217.00. Close behind her were teammates Wella Hsu (40th – 216.15) and Delaney Gallagher (41st – 214.85).

Freshman Marie Yacopino rounded out the Aztec contingent as her score of 180.95 left her in 59th place.

Up next for the Aztec swimmers and divers is the annual Mountain West Championships scheduled to take place Feb. 15-18 at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
