Big Notes
• The Aztecs are bowl eligible for the seventh straight season.
• San Diego State winning streaks extended:
- 14 straight victories against conference opponents (longest active win streak in the nation)
- 13 straight home wins against conference opponents
- 12 straight victories in games played in the Pacific Time Zone
- 9 straight victories at home
- 5 straight victories in Friday games
- 5 straight wins against teams from state of California
- 3 straight games overall
• SDSU's 39-point winning margin was its largest since a 47-0 win over Nicholls on Sept. 4, 2010 and largest in a league game since a 56-8 victory over Hawai`i on Oct. 11, 1996.
• SDSU had two 100-yard rushers in the same game for the fifth time in the last 17 contests and 23rd time in school history. San Diego State is now 22-1 when it has multiple 100-yard rushers.
• Donnel Pumphrey recorded his 27th career 100-yard game with 135 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. He remained eighth on the all-time NCAA rushing list with 5,518 yards.
• Rashaad Penny had his second 100-yard game in three games. He finished five yards shy of matching his career high of 110.
• The Aztecs improved to 6-1 overall, their best seven-game record to open a campaign since the 1977 squad was 6-1.
• San Diego State held its third straight opponent to single digits in scoring for the first time since a four-game stretch from Oct. 15-Nov. 5, 1977.
• SDSU is outscoring the opposition, 469-148, (33.5-10.6 averages) over the 14-game conference winning streak.
• San Diego State has now gone 393 minutes, 22 seconds (393:22) without trailing in a regular season conference game (last was a 10-7 deficit at Colorado State on Oct. 31, 2015. SDSU won, 41-17).
• The Aztecs extended its streak of not trailing in a regular-season conference game at home to 443 minutes, 13 seconds (443:13) (last was a 14-13 deficit to Air Force on Nov. 21, 2014. SDSU won, 30-14).
• SDSU held the Spartans to 209 total yards and now has held 19 consecutive conference opponents to less than 400 yards of total offense, the longest active streak in FBS.
• San Diego State has not allowed an offensive touchdown through three Mountain West games this year (six points on two field goals) and its opponents are averaging just 182.7 yards (548 yards through three games).
• The Aztecs won their 28th consecutive game when rushing for at least 200 yards. SDSU is now 36-2 in the Rocky Long era when rushing for 200-plus yards.

Team Notes
• The Aztecs won their fifth straight game played on Friday and improved to 11-2 all-time in Friday contests.
• SDSU won its fifth straight game against a team from the state of California (California, Fresno State (2), and San José State (2)). That is San Diego State's longest win streak against teams from the Golden State since a five-game streak from 1977-78.
• San Diego State won for the 16th time over its last 17 games overall. The 16-1 record since Oct. 3, 2015 is the third-best record nationally during that span, trailing only Alabama (18-0) and Clemson (18-1).
• The Aztecs outscored SJSU, 21-3, in the first half and has now outscored the opposition, 336-104, in the first half over the last 17 games.
• SDSU has a rushing touchdown in 19 straight games (50 total) and in 29 of their last 30 games, and 16 straight with multiple rushing scores (47 total).
• San Diego State averaged 7.42 yards per play, the fifth best in the Rocky Long era.
• The Aztecs held a 226-yard advantage on the rushing game (293-67), the sixth best in the Rocky Long era. SDSU is 9-0 under Rocky Long when the advantage is at least 198 yards.
• SDSU rushed for at least 275 yards for the 15th time in the Rocky Long era.
• San Diego State won its 14th straight game when committing one turnover or less.
• The Aztecs won their third straight game when their opponent commits zero turnovers.

Trends
• SDSU did not start with the ball for just the seventh time over the last 63 games.
• San Diego State lost the coin toss for just the 12th time over the last 31 games.
• The Aztecs have now gone 124 games without suffering a shutout (Nov. 18, 2006 at TCU), which is the third-longest streak among current Mountain West schools (Air Force at 291 and Boise State at 245). That is the only time SDSU has been shut out in their last 216 games.
• SDSU held its opponent scoreless on the opening drive for the 16th time over the last 18 games.
• San Diego State won its 15th straight game when scoring first, and is now 6-0 on the season and 37-11 in the Rocky Long era when scoring first.

• San Diego State evened its record to 19-19-2 all-time against San José State with its fourth straight win in the series.

Coach Long Notes
• Rocky Long improved to 49-24 (.671) as head coach at San Diego State.
• The 49 wins by Coach Long (2011-16) passes Bill Schutte (1947-55) for the third most in program history.

* Donnel Pumphrey, Sr., RB (24 att., 135 yds., 2 TD)
• Rushed 24 times for 135 yards (5.6 avg.) and two touchdowns, while adding two catches for 14 yards.
• Remained in eighth place with 5,518 career rushing yards (using the official NCAA record books).
• Broke 100 yards rushing for the sixth straight game and 28th time of his career, the active FBS leader.
• Recorded a rushing touchdown for an eighth straight game (14 total over that span) and scored an overall touchdown for the 11th consecutive game (19 total).
• Scored his 12th and 13th rushing touchdowns of the season and now has 58 for his career. The 58 rushing touchdowns passed Marshall Faulk for the SDSU record and are tied for the 11th most in NCAA FBS history.

• Rushed nine times for 105 yards (11.7 avg.) and three touchdowns, while adding two catches for 64 yards.
• Scored his fourth, fifth and sixth rushing touchdowns of the season (eighth, ninth and 10th of his career) and eighth, ninth and 10th overall touchdowns of the year (16th, 17th and 18th of his career).
• Now has at least one touchdown in 10 of the last 11 games (14 total over the span).

* Christian Chapman, So., QB (13-for-18, 167 yds., 1 TD, 1 INT)
• Was 13-for-18 for 167 yards.
• Improved to 8-1 as the starting quarterback.
• Threw his ninth touchdown of the season and 11th of his career.
• Threw an interception in the second quarter, snapping a streak of 81 passes without a pick.

• Had career highs of five catches and 62 yards, while scoring his first career touchdown.
• Had the most catches by an Aztec tight end since Gavin Escobar had six on Nov. 24, 2012, vs. Wyoming.
• Had the most receiving yards by an Aztec tight end since Gavin Escobar had 108 on Oct. 27, 2012, vs. UNLV.
• Entered the game with 12 career receptions for 98 yards over his first 31 games.

* Austin Wyatt-Thayer, Sr., LB (2 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 TFL)
• Finished with two tackles, two sacks and two TFL. • The two sacks were a career high after entering the game with one total.

* Kalan Montgomery, Jr., CB (7 tackles, 2 PBU)
• Led the team with a career-high seven tackles, which was five more than his previous career best.
• His six solo tackles equaled his entire 2015 total.
• Broke up a career-high two passes in his first career start.
