Big Notes
• Donnel Pumphrey recorded his fifth career 200-yard rushing game, 12th career 150-yard game and 27th career 100-yard game with 220 yards and two touchdowns on 38 carries. He moved from 14th to eighth on the all-time NCAA rushing list with 5,383 yards passing the likes of Archie Griffin (5,177), Herschel Walker (5,259) and LaDainian Tomlinson (5,263), among others.
• San Diego State won its 13th consecutive game against a conference opponent (including the win over Air Force in the 2015 Mountain West Championship). That is the longest active streak in the nation, one game ahead of Clemson (12).
• The Aztecs are outscoring the opposition, 427-145, (32.8-11.2) over the 13-game conference winning streak.
• SDSU improved to 5-1 overall, their best six-game record to open a campaign since the 1977 squad was 5-1.
• San Diego State held the Bulldogs to 217 total yards and now has held 18 consecutive conference opponents to less than 400 yards of total offense, the longest active streak in FBS.
• The Aztecs won their 27th consecutive game when rushing for at least 200 yards. SDSU is now 35-2 in the Rocky Long era when rushing for 200-plus yards.
• SDSU held Fresno State to three points, its fewest in a home game since at least 1996 and fewest in any game since being shut out at No. 3 Boise State, 51-0, on Nov. 19, 2010.
Team Notes
• San Diego State forced three turnovers and has now forced 27 turnovers over the last 10 games against a Mountain West team, while committing just five.
• The Aztecs won their fourth straight game played on Friday and improved to 10-2 all-time in Friday contests.
• SDSU won its third consecutive game when playing on six days rest and improved to 5-1 on six days rest under head coach Rocky Long. San Diego State is now 9-4 in its Division I era (since 1969) when playing in six days rest.
• The Aztecs won their 11th consecutive game played in the Pacific Time Zone.
• SDSU won its fourth straight game against a team from the state of California (California, Fresno State (2), and San Jose State). That is San Diego State's longest win streak against teams from the Golden State since a four-game streak in 1996-97.

• SDSU has a rushing touchdown in 18 straight games (45 total) and in 28 of their last 29 games, and 15 straight with multiple rushing scores (42 total).
Trends
• SDSU started with the ball for the 55th time over its last 61 games.
• San Diego State lost the coin toss for just the 11th time over the last 30 games.
• The Aztecs have now gone 123 games without suffering a shutout (Nov. 18, 2006 at TCU), which is the third-longest streak among current Mountain West schools (Air Force at 290 and Boise State at 243). That is the only time SDSU has been shut out in their last 215 games.
• SDSU held its opponent scoreless on the opening drive for the 15th time over the last 17 games.
• San Diego State won its 14th straight game when scoring first, and is now 5-0 on the season and 36-11 in the Rocky Long era when scoring first.

The Series
• San Diego State improved to 29-23-4 all-time against Fresno State.
• The Aztecs snapped a three-game road losing streak to Fresno State, claiming their first win at Bulldog Stadium since Nov. 15, 1997 (W, 20-19).
• SDSU has now defeated the Bulldogs in consecutive meetings (2015 and 2016) for the first time since winning four straight (1995 through 1998).
• San Diego State claimed the Oil Can trophy for the second straight season. Since the "Battle of the Oil Can" was coined in 2011, each team has won it three times (SDSU - 2011, 2015 and 2016; Fresno State - 2012, 2013 and 2014).

• Rocky Long improved to 48-24 (.667) as head coach at San Diego State.

• Moved from 14th in NCAA history (using the official NCAA record books) to eighth with 5,383 rushing yards, passing the likes of Archie Griffin (5,177), Herschel Walker (5,259) and LaDainian Tomlinson (5,263).
• Broke 100 yards rushing for the fifth straight game and 27th time of his career, the active FBS leader and now in sole possession of first place in Mountain West history.
• Broke 150 yards for the 12th time of his career and fourth time this year in six games. SDSU is now 11-1 when he rushes for at least 150 yards.
• Broke 200 yards for the fifth time of his career and third time this season in six games. The five career 200-yard games is the second most in program history (Marshall Faulk, 7).
• Recorded a rushing touchdown for a seventh straight game (12 total over that span).
• Scored his 10th and 11th rushing touchdowns of the season and now has 56 for his career. The 56 rushing touchdowns are tied for the 13th most in NCAA history.

• SDSU improved to 22-5 when he reached 100 rushing yards, 26-8 when he scores at least one rushing touchdown and 13-2 when he has multiple rushing scores.

• Was 7-for-12 for 72 yards.
• Improved to 7-1 as the starting quarterback.
• Also rushed for 26 yards, his second most on the season (27 vs. New Hampshire).

• Had five tackles (four solo) and an interception.
• Recorded his third interception of the season and 13th of his career. The 13 career interceptions rank in a tie for first among active NCAA FBS players, in a tie for first in SDSU's Division I history (since 1969) and in a tie for second all-time at SDSU.
* Calvin Munson, Sr., LB (10 tackles)
• Finished with 10 tackles.
• Led the team in tackles for the 13th time of his career (fourth time this season).
• Recorded his eighth career game with double-digit tackles (third time this year).

• CB Damontae Kazee, LB Calvin Munson, RB Donnel Pumphrey, LG Nico Siragusa and WAR Malik Smith each started for the 33rd straight game, the longest streaks on the team (does not include specialists).
