Big Notes
- San Diego State's win streaks that were snapped:
- 13 consecutive wins (was second-longest active win streak in FBS (Alabama)).
- 5 consecutive road victories.
- 7 straight victories in October.

Team Notes
- SDSU trailed, 7-0, in the first quarter, the first time it had trailed this season and the first time in 249 minutes, 32 seconds (249:32) since the MW Championship game against Air Force.
- San Diego State outscored South Alabama, 16-14, in the first half and has now outscored the opposition, 292-94, in the first half over its last 14 games.
- The Aztecs have a rushing touchdown in 16 straight games (41 total) and in 26 of their last 27 games, and 13 straight with multiple rushing scores (38 total).
- SDSU dropped to 28-4 over its last 32 games when recording at least two rushing touchdowns.

- Was 13-for-22 for 159 yards and a touchdown.
- Dropped to 5-1 as a starting quarterback.

- Rushed nine times for 62 yards and a touchdown.
