SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State softball team will play seven games this fall season - all at SDSU Softball Stadium - head coach Kathy Van Wyk announced Wednesday. The Alumni Game taking place Saturday, Nov. 19, highlights and caps off the fall season.
The Aztecs begin their season Saturday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m. PT against El Camino College. Less than a week later, the Aztecs will take on Cal State San Marcos Friday, Oct. 28, at 5 p.m. PT.
San Diego State will then compete against Southwestern College Friday, Nov. 4, and Palomar College Wednesday, Nov. 9, with both games starting at 3 p.m. PT.
The Aztecs spar against Mt. San Antonio College Friday, Nov. 11. The next day SDSU will battle the UC San Diego at 10 a.m. PT and Santa Ana College at 3 p.m. PT with a game between SACC and UC San Diego occurring at 1:30 p.m. PT.
Rounding out San Diego State's fall campaign will be a contest against Santiago Canyon College Friday, Nov. 18, at 3 p.m. PT and the Alumni Game Saturday, Nov. 19, at 12 p.m. PT.
The Aztecs finished 2016 with a 30-22 record, tying for third in league play with a 12-12 mark, but missing the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2007. It marked the 11th consecutive season that the Aztecs posted 30 wins.
