LA JOLLA, Calif. - Elaine Ribeiro and Rachel Alesi each logged San Diego State all-time top-10 marks to pace the Aztec track and field team on the final day of the Triton Invitational Saturday in La Jolla, Calif.

Ribeiro finished fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase out of 17 entrants in a time of 11 minutes, 2.76 seconds. Running in her first steeple of the season, the time went down as the fourth fastest in program history.

Alesi, meanwhile, came in third in the open shot put out of 42 entrants with a heave of 49 feet, 7 ¼ inches (15.12m). The mark was almost three feet farther than her previous best of 46-08.25 and is the sixth-best mark in school history. Additionally, as of Saturday, it would be good enough to get into the NCAA West Prelims.

Starlynn Singleton lowered her PR in the 100 by a substantial mark, dropping it from 11.80 seconds to 11.65 to take third among 60 initial entrants. As of Saturday, the 11.65 would qualify her for the NCAA West Prelims in the event.

Micha Auzenne added a pair of top-10 finishes, taking third in the 100 hurdles in 13.47 and 10th in the 100 in 11.90.

Simone Glenn and Jazmen Bunch each finished among the top 10 in both the 100 and 200. Glenn was fourth in the 100 (11.73) and seventh in the 200 (24.18), while Bunch was eighth in the 100 (11.84) and fifth in the 200 (24.04).

Other top-10 finishes on the day came from Madison Gipson in the 100 hurdles (fifth, 13.82), Ellison Grove in the 800 (seventh, 2:09.49) and Lisa-Anne Barrow in the invitational long jump (10th, 18-05.75 (5.63m)).
