FORT WORTH, Texas - The No. 39 San Diego State men's tennis team dropped its first match of the ITA Kickoff to No. 3 TCU, 4-0, at TCU's Baynard H. Friedman Tennis Center.

The day opened with doubles action, with the Horned Frogs taking the doubles point. On court No. 1, Freddy Gelbrich (Isernhagen, Germany) and Hendrik Jebens (Stuttgart, Germany) fell to Cameron Norrie and Trevor Johnson, 4-6, while Sander Gjoels-Andersen (Klampenborg, Denmark) and Jonas Meinzer (Buggingen, Germany) lost a close match to Alex Rybakov and Reese Stalder, 7-6 (7). Milen Ianakiev (Elz, Hesse, Germany) and Marko Goles-Babic (Zagreb, Croatia) earned the Aztecs' lone win in doubles play, topping Guillermo Nuñez and Jerry Lopez 6-2.

San Diego State then moved on to singles play but couldn't overcome the Horned Frogs' strong play. No. 24 Nuñez was victorious against Ianakiev, Eduardo Nava topped Meinzer 6-0, 6-2 and Stalder beat Cornelius Kolb (Frankfurt, Germany) 6-1, 6-0.

The Aztecs (1-1) will play No. 32 Harvard (2-1) at 1 p.m. (CT) on Sunday in the consolation match.
