MALIBU, Calif. - The San Diego State men's tennis team continues fall action at the 2015 USTA/ITA Southwest Regional Championships, hosted by Pepperdine beginning Fri., Oct. 15. Complete brackets and updated draws can be found at http://gowav.es/1LPcBKR.

Fresh off of their appearances at the 2015 Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships, Hendrik Jebens, Milan Ianakiev and Freddy Gelbrich earned first-round byes. 112nd-ranked Jebens, who was the only Mountain West competitor and the first Aztec since 2008 to advance to the Championships' main draw, will play the winner of a match between Karl Enander from Cal Poly and USC's Kalman Boyd. Ianakiev faces the winner of a match against USC's Henry Ji and Tyler Pham from UC Irvine. Gelbrich, sitting at No. 77 nationally, will begin action against the victor of a match between Pepperdine's Guilherme Galvao and Spencer Travallino of Hawaii.

In the Round of 128, Freshman Raul de la Torre opens the tournament against Loyola Marymount's Joat Farah. His classmate Sander Gjoles-Anderson also faces a competitor from Loyola Marymount in Alexander Bourgeois. Junior Marko Goles-Babic begins play against crosstown rival Pratt Keerasuntonpong from San Diego, and fellow junior Jonas Meinzer takes on Axel Damiens of Cal Poly in first round action. Santiago Cevallos, a sophomore, begins tournament action against Jason Jaruvang from Arizona.

In first-round doubles action, the teams of Goles-Babic and Ianakiev and Gelbrich and Jebens, which recently competed at the All-American Championships and is ranked 32nd nationally, received an opening round bye. Cevallos and Meinzer will open competition against Damiens and Joshua Ortlip from Cal Poly, while Gjoles-Amderson and de la Torre face Loyola Marymount's Luke Bohuslav and Errol Smith.
