San Diego State lacrosse will play 15 contests in 15 days against the 2015 NCAA Champion, Maryland, six Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) foes, two NCAA Tournament participants and the New Zealand Women's National Team during its fall slate.
The Aztecs open their fall schedule at home against MPSF rival Fresno State on Sat., Oct. 3 at noon, then rematch against the Bulldogs on Sun., Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. That game kicks off a triple header against two additional MPSF competitors: an 11:15 a.m. game against USC, which won the program's first NCAA Tournament game in 2015, and a 1:30 p.m. duel with UC Davis.
The following weekend, San Diego State travels east to Maryland, playing games against Navy, which reached the 2015 Patriot League championship game for the sixth time in the last seven seasons, St. Joseph's, Hofstra, the 2015 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) regular season champion, and Vanderbilt at the Naval Academy on Sat., Oct. 10. On Sun., Oct. 11, the Scarlet and Black take on Maryland, which won its second-straight NCAA Championship in 2015, and Towson, which advanced to the CAA Championship game for the fifth-straight season in 2015, in College Park, Md., on Sun. Oct. 11.
The Aztecs conclude their fall campaign with a trip to Northern California and games in Berkeley, Calif., on Sat., Oct. 17 against the New Zealand Women's National Team and three MPSF adversaries: Saint Mary's, Cal and Oregon. San Diego State rematches against the New Zealand Women's National Team on Sun., Oct. 18 at Saint Mary's.
San Diego State will be joined by a prestigious 2015 recruiting class, recently introduced by head coach Kylee White. The group features three high school All-Americans, four all-conference or all-league picks, three all-county and all-section or all-group honorees and a pair of all-state players and player of the year selections.
